Sara Holding a Cat, by Mary Cassatt

We are proud to present Professor Ray Hernández-Durán, of the UNM Department of Art and Art History, giving a talk entitled: From Goddess to Grumpy Cat and Everything In-Between: The Historical Representation of the Cat in Global Art. This talk will explore the different ways that artists have represented these very special animals throughout history. Like all the talks in our series, this is a free lecture, and, if you let us know in advance that you are coming, we will enter you in a drawing for a special prize!
