Most of us have suffered the loss of a beloved animal companion. Perhaps it is because the connection we have with our animals is non-verbal and so directly emotional, but these losses bring about a unique kind of grief that is particularly difficult to manage. We often experience a range of emotions when we anticipate the loss of an animal companion. This talk will provide you with a better understanding of how to cope with the emotions of an impending loss. It will also discuss how we can access services to help us through our grief, and to celebrate our best pal’s life.
Ann Beyke, M.A. LPC, is a counselor in private practice in Albuquerque, providing individual counseling and pet loss groups. For the past nine years she has worked with those who have anticipated the loss or have lost an animal companion. You can learn more about Ann and her work by visiting her web site, and by joining us for this important talk.
In addition to Ann’s talk, we have a special surprise planned that we think you will enjoy!
