To keep you up to date on the activities of your rescue, we are launching the first edition of our online newsletter. Our first bit of news is a sincere thank you for all you have done for our little rescue!

Let’s Make Albuquerque a No-Kill City!
Part 1: Who are we?
All too often, the daily struggles of helping animals in our care and those that come to us needing help can keep us from addressing the deeper causes of the tragedies we see every day. Indeed, the difficulties of stopping the endless stream of abandoned animals seems overwhelming. But, we also believe that a determined group of people can do wonderful things - if we will only make a start.
To that end, we are using this newsletter to launch a series of articles looking at what we can do to make Albuquerque a no-kill city. It has been done elsewhere, and we can do it here. Please join us in starting this conversation. We can't be sure where it will lead, but with your help, we just may achieve something wonderful! |

Our Food Drive Continues into Autumn . . .
Our food drive for cat food (wet or dry) and supplies (paper plates, paper towels) continues at VCA Montgomery. The food drive will benefit the cats who are in our foster care, the feral colony we are managing, and a number of people we have been helping with their animals. Please bring cat food and supplies to the feline side of VCA Montgomery at 9901 Montgomery NE, Albuquerque (map). Just click on the the image to the left to open a pdf of the flyer. Please feel free to print copies and post them around the office, shop, or just on your refrigerator door!

Marey and Mack Need a Home!
Marey and Mack are two young cats who have reminded everyone affiliated with Fabulous Felines just why we do this work. In spite of a difficult beginning, as told in their story, they have won the hearts of everyone who has met them. A few weeks ago, we were able to place them in a wonderful, loving home, and it looked like their story would have the happy ending they deserved. Their new guardians were delighted, and they even got along with the older cat who already lived there. Then sadly, after several weeks in their new home, an illness in their new family left their guardians unable to keep them, so they have returned to us. Their journey is not done.
These are beautiful, loving cats who deserve the best. If you would like to share that love, please contact us. |
